He is a potter making pottery in Kasama City, Ibaraki Prefecture. From an early age, he helped his British father, who was active in Kasama, with the climbing kiln, and is currently active as the second generation of the kiln. He cherishes the "folk art spirit", such as local production for local consumption of raw materials and passing on the tradition of Kasama ware. On the other hand, by adding a modern sensibility to the modeling, he pursues a modern folk art that is unique to him.
Natural persimmon glaze soup cup
The soup cup with a color that makes you feel autumn. The persimmon glaze, which is clear yet not overstated, colors the cup. Persimmon glaze is one of the glazes that has been used in Kasama since ancient times. Selene's style is to use traditional ingredients and bring them together in a modern way. It has a cool appearance while retaining the atmosphere of folk art.
The capacity is large enough, so soup dishes with lots of ingredients are also welcome. Beef stew to eat with this is surely the best.
The little handle is cute.
The highlight is the look of the glaze melting together.
Capacity is for 1 person. I feel like drinking soup every day.
