Noa Seren

He is a potter making pottery in Kasama City, Ibaraki Prefecture. From an early age, he helped his British father, who was active in Kasama, with the climbing kiln, and is currently active as the second generation of the kiln. He cherishes the "folk art spirit", such as local production for local consumption of raw materials and passing on the tradition of Kasama ware. On the other hand, by adding a modern sensibility to the modeling, he pursues a modern folk art that is unique to him.

Hachiware cat is hiding?

What I like about Selene's products is the unique combination of Japanese and Western styles. Traditional Japanese persimmon glaze x Slipwear from England x Large size. It looks like it's upside down, but it's all put together by his hands.

As the name suggests, the decoration is based on the image of a cat's Hachiware pattern (A cat with a pattern like the Chinese character eight on its forehead). A gratin dish filled with the charm of Mr. Seren, where you can feel a little playful. By the way, Hachiware is said to be auspicious because it spreads toward the end.

It fits perfectly in a standard toaster oven and can cook gratin for 2-3 people. Of course, please use it for other than gratin.

Like Kasama ware, it is made thick and sturdy.

The ears are small, but you can hold them firmly.
