Botetto Cute Dorabachi

Many of Takuya Ohara's pottery items sold at KIGOCOCHI have a sober and cool impression, but this one is different. It's kind of a cute atmosphere. I thought that it was not good to be too bound by the image of Takuya Ohara in me, so I asked for this work.

Dora-bachi is a shallow bowl with a straight rim. It is said that it got its name from its shape resembling a disc-shaped percussion instrument, the gong. It's the same with Dorayaki Dora. It's small enough to fit in both hands, but it's deep enough to hold more food than it looks.

The stacking is also cute.

The pattern of the ho, which has a beauty without waste

Once you get hooked on the pottery, your eyes will gradually shift to various colors and decorations. "That's nice too~" "There's something like this!" However, after seeing a lot of vessels, I think it's ho that comes back after all.

There is no useless element, and there is a stripped-down beauty. At first glance, you may think that it lacks interest, but in fact , there is a fun that you can enjoy completely different expressions depending on the artist . The depth of the carving, the thickness of the ridgeline, the overall atmosphere, etc. are truly unique. What I feel from Mr. Ohara's hoi pattern is "strength" and "graciousness." It fits well with the rough soil of Shigaraki.
