Nakajima Kiln

Kenichi Nakajima, who is making pottery in Akita Prefecture. It is important to "make things that are simple, easy to use, and can be used for a long time."
The inspiration for his works is not only old pottery and modern folk art, but also down sweaters and bicycles that he has been using for more than 10 years. By incorporating these good qualities with a unique sense, we can complete a vessel that the user wants to grow old with.

A small plate accented with stamps

The glaze is mixed with ash that can be taken from a wood stove, and the natural glaze tone of wood ash is utilized. Gosu's blue color is not too strong and has a gentle atmosphere.

It's a small plate with a calm tone, but the imprint on the side creates a nice atmosphere.

A small plate that plays an active role in "one more dish!"

Mr. Nakajima is a creator who places great importance on ease of use. Of course, this small plate is also user-friendly, and the rim is raised at an angle that makes it easy to lift.

It may be better to imagine a small bowl rather than a small plate from how it is made a little deeper. It's a great way to serve side dishes such as broiled burdock root and kinpira burdock.
